Becca, located at The Historic Cavalier Hotel, is undoubtedly one of Virginia Beach’s finest dining destinations. It’s a modern, sophisticated restaurant that delivers a delightful experience with great customer service and fresh, inspired dishes. With over 1,300 restaurants in the area, Becca has rightly earned its place among the top-ranked spots on TripAdvisor, and my recent visit only solidified its reputation.

The standout breakfast dish for me was the Shrimp & Grits. Made with creamy white cheddar stone-ground grits, the dish featured garden herb shrimp, bell pepper, onion, smoked tomato creole emulsion, and basil oil. The shrimp was tender, with a beautiful smoky sweetness from the tomato emulsion that paired perfectly with the rich, cheesy grits. It was flavorful without being overwhelming, making it one of my top five shrimp and grits dishes.

For my second dish, I opted to try The North Beach Omelet, a light yet satisfying choice. Packed with jumbo lump blue crab, onion, tomato, bell pepper, avocado, and white cheddar cheese, the omelet was both fresh and filling. The crab was plentiful, and its sweetness complemented the richness of the egg and cheese, creating a well-balanced, delicious dish. This is also THE FIRST restaurant to actually serve exactly what I requested when I asked for CRISPY BACON and it was CRISPY! Thank you!!!
The service was exceptional — attentive yet not intrusive — and the ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Becca has certainly earned its spot as a must-visit restaurant if you’re at the Virginia Beach oceanfront. If you’re a fan of top-quality, locally sourced ingredients with a modern twist, this is one spot you shouldn’t miss. Whether for breakfast or brunch, Becca is a true highlight of the local dining scene.
